Nurse Externship Program
The year-round program allows senior-level nursing students to accept the responsibility of self-directed learning, and through the precepting process, provide holistic and quality care to all clients of St. John Medical Center.
Eligibility
1. Senior-level nursing student (eligible to graduate within two semesters from an associate’s or bachelor’s degree nursing program)
2. Must be able to work the minimum hours required each semester
3. GPA 3.0+ (verified by official transcript)
4. One page essay: “Why have you chosen nursing as a career?”
5. Meets all requirements of employment
